AI CCTV equipment options
AMCO sells two different grades of CCTV equipment across both cameras and recorders: standard for general use and specialist for specific requirements such as facial recognition or long-range thermal detection.
Standard vs Specialist equipment
General-purpose AI
Designed for specific requirements such as general deterrence, object tracking and standard recording. The right choice for most homes and businesses.
Single-task AI chip
Each specialist camera is built for one specific task with an AI chip optimised purely for that function - giving far higher accuracy than a general-purpose camera.
Standard camera range
Our standard AI CCTV camera range includes three cameras designed to cover the most common customer requirements.
- On-board siren activates on detection
- Flashing warning lights
- AI chip for accurate detection
- Deters intruders before crime occurs
- AI designed to track moving objects
- Ideal for theft detection scenarios
- Follows subjects across camera field
- Reduces false positives significantly
- No specific AI functions
- IP: 3MP resolution
- Analogue: 2MP resolution
- Cost-effective wide coverage

Specialist camera range
For customers who have a specific need - e.g. facial recognition or long-range thermal detection - we customise solutions including specialist AI CCTV cameras. Each has been designed for a single specific task, with an in-built AI chip optimised for that task alone.
Facial Recognition
Identifies and matches faces against a database in real time. Used for access control and high-security environments.
Thermal
Detects heat signatures rather than visible light - effective in total darkness and through light foliage or smoke.
ANPR
Automatic Number Plate Recognition. Reads and logs vehicle registrations for car parks, gates and security checkpoints.
PTZ
Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera with motorised movement. Remotely controlled to follow subjects or cover wide areas from a single unit.

On-board AI in every camera
All our cameras - apart from the General model - include an AI chip inside the camera. This means the camera has the ability to process AI locally, reducing bandwidth requirements and increasing response speed.

Full colour night vision vs standard IR - side by side comparison
Full colour night vision & smart illumination
Our Active Deterrent cameras include 'full colour night vision' along with 'smart illumination'. These two features significantly improve the accuracy of AI detection in low-light and night-time conditions.
Smart illumination
An external LED illuminator - not unlike a bright flood light - activates when activity is detected, giving the AI full colour data to work with.
Full colour vision
While standard IR cameras show greyscale at night, full colour vision retains colour data - enabling accurate AI classification and more useful evidence.
Standard & specialist recorders
All our AI CCTV equipment is interoperable - add specialist cameras to standard recorders and vice versa to design a system best-suited to your requirements.
DVR / NVR
Standard Recorder
- 4 AI channels as standard
- Supports DVR (analogue) and NVR (IP)
- Designed for most common requirements
- Compatible with all standard cameras
NVR
Specialist Recorder
- 8 or 16 AI channel configurations
- For extensive AI camera integrations
- Higher processing power for AI analytics
- Compatible with specialist camera range
Smart search & app control
All our systems include 'Smart Search' functionality and remote app control. Smart Search enables you to search historic events - for example, finding footage of a specific person entering a specific zone on a specific date - without watching 48 hours of footage.
Smart Search
Filter footage by event type, zone or time
Remote app
Live view and playback from your phone
Choosing IP or Analogue - NVR or DVR
We sell both IP and analogue CCTV systems to cover a variety of customer scenarios. If upgrading an existing analogue system, we can often integrate new cameras. If installing new and wanting future-proof technology, IP is the right choice.
